Constantine v. Imperial London Hotel

Fact:
The defendant wrongfully refused to receive the plaintiff a famous West Indian Cricketer into one of there hotels to which he wished to go ,though they provided him lodging in another of their hotels.
Issue:
Whether he entitle to damages or not?
Judgment:
Plaintiff was awarded nominal damages.
Reasoning:
Nominal damages are awarded only in tort actionable per se.
